History of the Margarita!
Frozen, Spicy with crushed ice, flavored, with a big rock, February 22 2021 the celebration of Mexico’s most delicious exports “The Margarita”. The Margarita over the years have been claimed to have been invented by many wanting the glory. Recorded History goes in 1938 Carlos “Danny” Herrera developed the drink at his Tijuana restaurant, Rancho La Gloria. Mr. Herrera came up with the cocktail for one of his regular guest , an aspiring guest Marjorie King who had an allergy to hard alcohol other than tequila, an odd allergy but service industry folks live to provide amazing unforgettable hospitality.
To make tequila more palatable for her he combined 1 shot of tequila, salt and lime, sugar mixed and their was born the a refreshing crushable cocktail. The drink gained popularity when Tommy Hilton added the Margarita to the bar menu for his hotel chain in 1948.
